Jae Noirel is a poet, essayist, novelist, and street philosopher from Berkeley, California. His first book, Prison Poetry: Peace of Mind for a Tortured Soul was published in 2017 shortly after his release from incarceration. His second book, an urban novel entitled, D-Boys Blues: A Gritty Tale of Loyalty and Betrayal was published in 2017 and has quickly become a hood classic. His articles have appeared in the Laney Tower, the student newspaper at Laney College.
Jae chose a new path once released from prison and went on to earn his Associate Arts Degree in Graphic Design from Laney College in Oakland, California and founded Hub Design Studios, www.HubDesignOnline.com, in 2013. He has provided graphic design services to a range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to local Bay Area rappers. He is also the cofounder/co-owner and chief designer of Amrcn Grxxd clothing line.
