Amandla! Poems of Love and Struggle  is Gerald Lenoir’s first book of poetry containing poems written over the past 34 years.  With passion for people and politics, he writes verses that reflect the universal experiences of racial injustice, class exploitation and imperial domination.  His poems are often militant, occasionally despairing, sometimes hopeful, and always engaging. Reflecting his 40+ years as a social justice activist and his 69 years of being a compassionate Black child and man and a caring human being, Gerald writes with head, heart and hand about the struggle against racism and police brutality, international solidarity, love in the times of HIV/AIDS and more.
